This is a registered charity run by a team of trustees who are all volunteer employees. Sinclair colleagues can make a charitable donation, which is used to support members who are in financial difficulty due to their own ill health or that of a family member.

The aim of the Carbon Literacy Project is to provide an awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis. We believe in creating responsible corporate citizens and so far 35 of our staff (including all our Board members) have passed the Carbon Literacy training and are Accredited. This means we have 70 committed actions in play to reduce Carbon Emissions. In the next 2 years our ambition is for at least half our staff to have completed this day long training and to have generated at least 1000 carbon reduction actions.

As part of our ongoing commitment to making our Business and the Welsh economy more sustainable, we are partners with Cynnal Cymru (Sustain Wales). They are committed to providing advice and training to help us turn our sustainability aims into actions.

We have a workforce of approaching 1000 people and believe that we have the power to take action for good in our local community. To that end we allow each member of staff to claim a day’s paid leave annually to take part in a volunteering activity. This could be one organised by the Business for a collective Group, but we are also happy to consider any ideas put forward by our members of staff, that improve conditions for any good cause.

We really are a fun Company to work for and we run various subsidised social events, including Christmas parties, and competitions to win an array of amazing prizes.

We recognise that now more than ever, it is falling to Business to make the biggest contributions towards a fairer, more just, society with low carbon emissions and thriving communities and natural environments. We are a proud member of Business in the Community, who are helping us on the journey towards being a more responsible Business.

We have recently engaged in a partnership with Ty Hafan. In December last year we pledge £10 for every used car sold by the Business and were able to provide support of £5000. We are currently exploring ways to deepen the relationship between ourselves and this very deserving Welsh organisation that provides so much support for life-limited children and their families.
